GOKYO VALLEY TREK NEPAL OVERVIEW

Trek Me Nepal presents this fantastic trek to Gokyo Valley, reaching the heart of the Everest region where lifetime memories will be created.

It’s not your traditional Base Camp trek, but one filled with aquamarine waters, breathtaking views and scenic trails.

You will hop on a Lukla flight which will be refreshing, followed by a trek to Phakding and Namche Bazaar, the mountain village of the Sherpa.

Travelers frequently visit the hamlets of Dole and Machherma, which lie deep inside a calm, remote location.

You will witness a looming view of Ngozumpa Glacier and Dudh Koshi River as you trek to Machherma.

Approaching the Gokyo lakes, you will at once see that these lakes are glacial in nature.

Formed directly from the snow coming down from several peaks, the lakes bear a characteristic green look that is simply hard to miss.

The challenge of ascending Gokyo-Ri  will be head-on and you will be rewarded by awesome views of several towering peaks.

When you look down at the lake after an exciting hike to Gokyo-Ri, you will see something that is just rarely seen.

In fact, this vantage viewpoint stands unrivaled in the Everest region.

Thereafter, the return circuit route will take you back to Dole and Namche.

Down the trek, you go back to Lukla through Namche Bazaar, crossing through hamlets in Dole and Machhermo.

This is an excellent trek to learn a little about Sherpa culture and the unique close-knit society they have been known to be part of.

The journey contains its all-immersion into culture, scenic beauty, and exhilaration in trekking.

We recommend this in Spring and Autumn when the skies are clear and the chances of visibility are at their peak in the region

In fact, it’s not just one journey into Everest; it is a journey of self discovery that will stay with you forever.

This trek is a very profound spiritual journey inside the laps of the mighty Himalayan giants.
