Best of Poon Hill Ghandruk Trek

A sunrise view from the vantage point of Poon Hill is undoubtedly one of the best of its kind on the planet. As the first light of dawn breaks over the horizon, the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges come alive in a breathtaking display of golden hues. As darkness slowly retreats, the silhouettes of mighty peaks emerge – Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, and many other peaks.

The play of light and shadow on these snow-capped peaks creates an ever-changing canvas that leaves observers in awe. Visitors from around the world gather to witness this daily spectacle. Cameras click hastily, attempting to capture the indescribable beauty. Many others stand quietly in silent reverence to the grandeur of nature.

Apart from the natural beauty, this trek lets you indulge in cultural experiences in the Gurung and Magar villages. You will visit the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk where you can witness firsthand, their authentic way of life. The trek is moderate, making it popular with families and solo trekkers alike.

Well-maintained trails and comfortable teahouses and lodges along the route make for a pleasant journey.
