We are collaborating with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) for the event. Together, Trek Me Nepal and NTB along with other six participating companies from Nepal will highlight Nepal as one of the top destinations for adventure travel. This is the third time NTB is participating at ATS after 2019 and 2020.

This data is uploaded into a central database, accessible during emergencies, enabling swift rescue operations in case of accidents or natural calamities.

NTB has also participated in various international travel exhibitions over the years. In 2024 alone, the Board took part in six different expos around the world. These include China International Travel Mart, World Travel Market (WTM), China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM), World Travel Market (WTM), Arabian Travel Mart (ATM, Dubai), and ITE Hong Kong.
And it seems Nepal’s effort hasn’t gone unnoticed by the international community. Nepal was awarded the title of ‘Best Travel-Friendly Destination’ at the Global Tourism Awards 2024 in New Delhi on August 2, 2024. (Mail, 2024).
In April 2024, the NTB hosted Nepal’s first international LGBTIQ+ tourism conference, which was a major step in highlighting Nepal’s position as an inclusive and safe travel destination with queer-friendly tours.
The NTB has already taken steps to create a more inclusive tourism infrastructure, such as offering LGBTIQ+ guide training and supporting queer-owned businesses. Additionally, the country’s legal advancements, including a 2007 Supreme Court ruling guaranteeing LGBTIQ+ rights, further bolster Nepal’s appeal as a progressive destination. (Prasain, 2024)
