The Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek via Cho La pass gain renown for their stunning series of turquoise lakes in the Gokyo valley and the famous Cho La Pass. Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
Highest Altitude 1350m

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure, resting and exploring the city if you have time.

If your arrival is in the evening, we will hold a guide briefing at the hotel. However, if you arrive during the day, we will have the briefing at our office. The guide briefing will give you an overview of the trek and answer any questions you may have.

Day 2
Fly from kathmandu/Manthali- Lukla(2,860m) and Trek to Phakding
Highest Altitude 2610m

After an early breakfast, we will take a scenic flight to Lukla, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Lukla, we will meet our porters and start our trek to Phakding. The trail descends towards the Dudh Koshi River and passes through beautiful forests, small villages, and suspension bridges. We will stay overnight in Phakding.

Day 3
Trek from Lukla to Namche Bazaar

Trek Duration 6-7hrs

After breakfast, we will begin our trek to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. The trail passes through beautiful rhododendron forests and crosses several suspension bridges before reaching Namche Bazaar. We will stay overnight in a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4
Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar
Trek Duration 4hrs

On the Everest Base Camp Trek, the first acclimatization day will be spent in Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the primary trading center in the Everest Region and you can purchase trekking gear and handicrafts there. We will also take a hike to the Sherpa Cultural Museum, Syanboche Airport (the highest airport in Nepal), and Hotel Everest View, which offers stunning views of Everest and other nearby locations.

Day 5
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Highest Altitude 3,860m
Trek Duration 5-6hrs

After breakfast, we will continue our trek to Tengboche, which is famous for its ancient monastery and stunning views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Along the way, we will pass through several small villages and cross the Dudh Koshi River. We will stay overnight in a teahouse in Tengboche.

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche
Highest Altitude 4,410m
Trek Duration 5-6hrs

Today, we will trek to Dingboche, a beautiful village located in the Imja Valley. The trail passes through dense forests of birch, conifers, and rhododendron trees, with panoramic views of the Himalayan mountains. We will stay overnight in a teahouse in Dingboche.

Day 7
Acclimatization day in Dingboche
Trek Duration 4hrs

This will be our first 5000+m mountain on this trek. Rather than easy hike with no sleep slopes. On the top, we will stand just right front of the majestic Ama Dablam mountain, Mt.lhotse (8,516 m ), Mt.makalu (8,481 m ) and After SUMMITING we will safety return to DINGBOCHE.

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche
Highest Altitude 4,930m
Trek Duration 5-6hrs

The route continues to climb a short ridge above Pheriche village. You will continue walking alongside the Khumbu Glacier and ascend to the Thukla hills. Further, passing by the memorials of the climbers, continue to walk to LOBUCHE village.

Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp(5,364m/17,599ft) and then back to Gorak Shep

This is the day! When we fulfil our dream to stand right at the foot of the world’s greatest mountain! It really is like in movies, if not more beautiful and majestic to see Sagarmatha in person. And beingbm closest possible to the flow of Khumbu Icefall, it is an extraordinary, unique, well deserved…just higher level experience! We will have time here to take amazing pictures, and admire the landscape, before returning to GORAK SHEP for the night.

Day 10
Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) and trek to Dzongla
Highest Altitude 4,830m
Trek Duration 7-8hrs

We will start early in the morning and hike to Kala Patthar, which offers stunning views of Mt. Everest and the surrounding peaks. As part of this unique trekking route, today we will separate from the commonly used trekking route and head into Dzongla route and enjoy stunning views of the valley and the Khumbu Glacier. We will stay overnight in a teahouse in Dzongla.

Day 11
Trek From Dzongla To Thangna via cho-la pass(5,420m )
Highest Altitude 4,700m
Trek Duration 6-7hrs

The day commences with an easy walk across a flat rock and through an arid valley, leading to a challenging ascent towards Cho La Pass. This physically demanding route, which requires crampons for slippery glaciers and loose icy rocks, is not only suitable for experienced hikers but also presents a formidable challenge for beginners.

After Cho La Pass, the descent to Thangna takes us through the remote village of Phedi. This 4-5 hour trek covers mixed terrains with steep inclines, offering mesmerizing views of snow-capped peaks and rugged hills.

Day 12
Trek from Thangna to Gokyo Lake

Trek Duration 3hrs

Today is a challenging day as we will trek through the Cho La Pass, which requires some technical skills and experience. After crossing the pass, we will reach Gokyo, a beautiful village located near the Gokyo Lakes. We will stay overnight in a teahouse in Gokyo.

Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357m/17,575ft) then trek down to Dole

Today, we will hike to Gokyo Ri, which offers panoramic views of the Gokyo Lakes, Mt. Everest, and other surrounding peaks. After enjoying the views, we will return to Gokyo for the night.

Trek from Dole to Namche Bazaar

Today, we will trek to Namche Bazaar, retracing our steps back through the same trail we took earlier. We will stay overnight in a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Day 16
Fly from Lukla to(Manthali/Kathmandu)and drive to Kathmandu

Today, we will start our journey back to Lukla. We will leave Namche Bazaar after breakfast and follow the same trail that we took during our ascent. The trail passes through several villages and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We will reach Lukla by the evening and spend the night there.

Day 17
Full day guided Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley & Farewell dinner
Trek Duration 6-7hrs

In the morning, we will catch a flight back to Kathmandu or Manthali (Ramechhap) depending on the availability of flights. The flight back offers a bird’s eye view of the mountains, and it’s a fitting end to our trek. Once we reach Kathmandu, we will check into our hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the city.

Final departure

Today, you can take a rest day in Kathmandu, explore the city, or engage in some last-minute shopping or sightseeing. You can also opt for an optional tour or activity as per your preference.

If you desire to prolong your stay in Nepal, we provide well-known trips to Pokhara, Chitwan National Park, and other cultural heritage tours. Furthermore, we offer outbound tours to Tibet, India, and Bhutan. Lastly, you will relish a farewell dinner at a fancy restaurant to conclude your journey.

Departure

Today is the last day of our trip, and we will depart for our home country. We will be dropped off at the airport by our guide and take back memories that will last a lifetime. We hope that this trip has been a memorable one for you, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal for your next adventure.

Meals

On our trek, we will have the opportunity to savor both traditional Nepalese dishes and popular international cuisine such as Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian. Breakfast and dinner will be served either at the teahouse or lodge where we are spending the night, and lunch will be provided on the way to the next destination. While trekking, all meals will be included, but only breakfast will be provided during our stay in Kathmandu. As a special treat, we will also have welcome and farewell dinners with our fellow guests.

When you go on the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek through Cho La pass, you will be staying at top-rated 3-star hotels in Kathmandu and lodges throughout the trek. The rooms will be shared by two people, and if you want a private room, you can request it for an extra charge.’
