This program from Trek Me Nepal is aimed at aspiring mountaineers and veteran trekkers who wish to scale Mera Peak in the form of trekking combined with expedition! Located in Nepal’s breathtaking Khumbu region, Mera Peak is 6,461 meters with a promise of an adventure of a lifetime!

The journey begins with a thrilling flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. From there, you will embark on a trek that’s as captivating as the peak itself. Winding through rhododendron forests and crossing crystal-clear streams via suspension bridges are some charms of this trek. The trail to Mera is a purely natural trail that will leave you awestruck with beautiful scenery at every turn.

The lure of prayer flags fluttering in the highland winds, and the warm smiles of the local people will instantly teleport you to a bygone era whose charm is as perennial as the seasons. However, this adventure is not without its challenges where you’ll need to pace yourself carefully, acclimatize properly along the way, and keep a determination of faith at all times. As beautiful as it is on the outside, the unpredictable mountain weather might create a sense of fear but that’s all part of the excitement. In the hands of our expert guides, you’ll never doubt a bit and suddenly you’ll come to rejoice your triumph over this peak later on.

For this climb, you need solid endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and overall top physical shape. The climb is a mix of challenge and excitement where you’ll need to learn the proper use of crampons, ice axes, and ropes to navigate on snowy slopes. Crossing glaciers with open crevasses adds an extra challenge to the already adrenaline-pumping journey. As you prepare for the summit around midnight, your headlamps create a string of lights on the mountain face, and with each step, you will come closer to the summit. And at the first light of dawn, you’ll begin noticing the surrounding peaks in hues of gold and blue and pink, calling for a quick ascent to the top. And during the final push to the summit, which starts at midnight, you will be climbing for more than five hours straight.

As an incredible reward of this trying adventure, imagine standing atop a peak surrounded by captivating views of Cho You, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Nuptse. It’s a dream come true for any trekker to Nepal! It is an envious view that will stay in our memory forever. After all, achieving the pride of conquering Nepal’s highest trekking peak – is a feat that endures! The realization that you have pushed your limits and succeeded – is an epic feeling in itself.

The descent from the summit back to Mera Base Camp requires just as much focus. As you return further, you will relive the experience by sharing it with your fellow trekkers. Walking down through valleys, you will find solace in the thought of a warm meal, massage, and a hot shower! This unforgettable experience will definitely test your limits, but you fall in love with the mountains. And you’ll return home with a tale of your own that you’ll be sharing for a lifetime.
