The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is a 15-day trekking adventure that takes you to the base of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. The trek begins with a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, followed by a scenic flight to Lukla, where you will start your trek.

You will stay in luxury lodges throughout the trek, including the Yeti Mountain Homes, which offer comfortable accommodation and delicious meals.

The trek takes you through several Sherpa villages, where you will experience the local culture and hospitality. You will also have ample time to acclimatize to the altitude, which is crucial for a successful trek.

The highlight of the trek is reaching the Everest Base Camp, from where you can witness the spectacular views of the Himalayas. You will also hike to Kala Patthar, which offers stunning views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks.

The trek ends with a flight back to Kathmandu, where you can spend a day exploring the city or relaxing at your hotel.

As you arrive at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will receive you and take you to your hotel. Once you rest and freshen up, we will brief you about the trek you will start the next day. 

We will give you a rundown of essential documents and all gears you will need throughout. You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the city or relaxing at your hotel. We end the day with a hearty dinner of Nepali cuisine.

Your trip begins early next morning with a 45-minute flight to Lukla. On flight you will get your first breathtaking views of the Himalayas from above. You get to Lukla's small mountain airstrip soon.

After some tea and snacks, during which you can take a closer look at the tower peaks surrounding you, we begin our four-hour (approx.) trek down to Phakding

This first walk will help you adjust to trekking in the mountains. You'll pass through small settlements and enjoy the fresh mountain air as we make our way to the charming village by the river.

Here, you'll settle into the comfortable Yeti Mountain Home, where you can relax and prepare for the days ahead.

After a good breakfast, we'll continue our journey toward Namche Bazaar, the heart of the Khumbu region. This will take about seven hours and you will walk through charming villages and lush forests, with plenty of time to enjoy the mountain scenery.

A highlight of the day's trek is crossing the iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. The gradual climb brings us to Namche, where you'll be welcomed by the lively atmosphere of this famous trading town.

We'll spend the night at Yeti Mountain Home, where you can relax and soak in your first proper views of the high Himalayas.

Today is an important day to rest and let your body adjust to the altitude. After breakfast, we'll take a hike up to the Hotel Everest View, where you'll be rewarded with a panorama of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest.

The walk is short but rewarding, giving you just enough activity to help with acclimatization while enjoying spectacular views. Along the way, we may stop at the Visitors Park to learn more about the region's unique ecosystem.

You'll have the afternoon free to explore Namche Bazaar at your own pace, perhaps visit the local market, try some local food and buy souvenirs or simply relax at the comfortable Yeti Mountain Home lodge.

The day’s trek takes us through more Sherpa villages with incredible mountain views. The trail leads first to Tengboche, home to the region's most important and largest monastery, where you can appreciate the spirituality of the region. On the way, you will also get sightings of the beautiful Ama Dablam, Everest, Thamserku, and other mountains.

The Tengboche Monastery, also called Tengboche Gompa, which is always decked out in colorful prayer flags, is something you must explore. If you visit in autumn, you will also experience the Dumje Festival which is celebrated hugely at the monastery.

After visiting the monastery, we'll continue a short distance to the quiet village of Deboche, surrounded by beautiful forests. It is more peaceful and less windy than Dingboche and has the oldest Buddhist nunnery in Nepal, Deboche Nunnery, established in 1913 AD.

We'll follow the Imja River valley as we climb gradually toward Dingboche. This trail also offers wonderful views of Ama Dablam and other peaks, with more prayer flags marking our path. This leg of the trail in particular is quite challenging. So sheer willpower will take you through to the village.

Dingboche sits in a beautiful high valley where farmers grow barley and potatoes, you'll notice the landscape becoming more rugged as we gain altitude. Our comfortable lodge here provides a warm welcome after the day’s walk.

This is an important rest day that helps your body adjust to the higher elevation. You can join an optional morning hike to Nagartsang Peak for spectacular views of the valley, or simply relax and explore Dingboche village. 

Many guests enjoy visiting the local bakery or watching yaks graze in the surrounding fields. There is also the Dingboche Monastery to explore if you are interested in the spiritual and cultural aspects of the Everest region. 

The day is yours to enjoy, however you want, while preparing for the next stage of our journey.

Things to do at Dingboche:

  • Visit the peaceful Dingboche Monastery to see morning prayers and thangka paintings.
  • Catch spectacular sunrise views of Ama Dablam from the eastern ridge.
  • Take an easy 1-2 hour walk along the Imja River to see mani stones and glacial waters.
  • Learn about the unique ‘Ding’ ritual where villagers temporarily relocate each July-August.
  • Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m) for 360° views of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu.
  • Observe traditional high-altitude farming of potatoes and barley on terraced fields.

After breakfast, we'll continue our journey upward toward Lobuche. The trail offers increasingly dramatic mountain views as we gain altitude. You'll notice the landscape becoming more rugged and alpine as we approach this small settlement at 4,940 meters.

End the day at a comfortable lodge with a big meal and good rest.

Things to do at Lobuche:

  • Visit the Italian Pyramid Laboratory-Observatory, a high-altitude research station studying climate and glaciers.
  • Stop by the World’s Highest Bakery Café for fresh bread, pastries, and hot drinks at 4,940 meters.
  • Capture stunning astrophotography shots of the Milky Way in the clear, high-altitude night skies.
  • Pay respects at the moving memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest.

Today brings one of the most rewarding moments of your trek as we walk to Everest Base Camp. The trail follows the Khumbu Glacier, with breathtaking mountain views accompanying us all the way. We get to the village of Gorakshep first, we will reach there late morning and rest for a bit.

Then, we continue to Everest Base Camp. When we reach Base Camp, you can take in the incredible surroundings and celebrate this achievement and everything you did to get up here: the grit, passion and sheer will that got you here.

After this memorable experience, we'll return to Gorak Shep for a well-earned rest, carrying with us the pride of having reached this legendary destination.

We begin early to hike up Kala Patthar in time for sunrise. As morning breaks, the first sunlight touches Mount Everest's peak and gradually reveals the surrounding mountains.
