This 21-day Manaslu Circuit & Tsum Valley Trek with Trek Me Nepal is not just a trek but a deeply immersive experience into one of the most untouched and remote regions of the Himalayas.

From the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to the mystical valleys below the eighth highest mountain in the world, this journey unfolds a narrative of nature, culture, and pure exploration.

As you land in Kathmandu, the spiritual and cultural energy of Nepal surrounds you. The journey begins with UNESCO heritage sites, Buddhist stupas, and Hindu temples, offering a glimpse into the vibrant traditions that make Nepal so enchanting.

But the real adventure begins once you leave the city and drive deep into the wild foothills of the Himalayas. The trail leads you through ancient villages, hanging bridges, deep river gorges, and dense forests of pine and rhododendron.

You pass through Jagat, Lokpa, and into the secret realm of the Tsum Valley, a sacred land rarely touched by time. Here, the mountains whisper stories of ancient Tibetan traditions, and monasteries like Mu Gumba stand as silent witnesses to centuries of devotion.

Winding through Chumling, Chhokang Paro, and Nile, you’ll breathe the high-altitude air and feel the sheer wonder of being surrounded by Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Himalchuli.

Time seems to slow down in these forgotten valleys, where every step forward is a glimpse into another world - a world of sacred chants, smiling villagers, grazing yaks, and fluttering prayer flags.

Rejoining the Manaslu Circuit trail, your trek continues to Namrung, Lho, Sama Gaun, and eventually to Samdo, where the terrain becomes raw and the air even thinner. You walk in the shadows of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), her presence always looming, commanding awe and reverence.

The pinnacle of the journey is the crossing of the legendary Larkya-La Pass (5,106 m), a moment of triumph, challenge, and pure Himalayan bliss. As you take in the sweeping panoramas of Annapurna II, Himlung Himal, and glacial valleys below, your heart races not just from the altitude but from the emotion of conquering one of Nepal’s greatest trekking feats.

Descending towards Bimthang and Tilche, the landscapes shift once more from snow to stone to green pastures and fertile hillsides. You’ll pass through rhododendron forests and traditional Gurung settlements, eventually driving back to Kathmandu, where your unforgettable journey began.

This is not just a trek but a soulful odyssey crafted for those who seek raw Himalayan beauty, cultural authenticity, and the satisfaction of conquering one of the world’s most stunning trails.

As you sit down for your farewell dinner in the capital city, you’ll realize the photographs and memories you’ve captured are just small fragments of what you’re truly taking home — a deeper understanding of yourself, a reverence for nature, and the unshakable joy of having walked through one of the last true wildernesses on Earth.

Trek Me Nepal welcomes you to not just explore Nepal but to experience it, one step at a time.

  •   Reach the laps of the world's eighth-highest peak, Mount Manaslu (8,163m);
  •   Explore the less-trodden untouched unspoiled valley of Tsum.
  •   Have spectacular and immersive views of peaks like Annapurna II, Himlung, and several beautiful unnamed peaks including the high-altitude pass of Larkya-La (5,106m).
  •   Discover traditions at the remote locations of Nepal, see their unique mountain-based lifestyles, and their ancient practices of religion.
  •   Trek inside Manaslu Conservation Area, home to unique flora and fauna — including snow leopards, Himalayan thār, and Lophophorus.
  •   Enjoy trekking in one of the least explored regions of the Himalayas, a pristine landscape with less number of trekkers.
  •   Take thrilling ascents and descents through the Larkya-La Pass, enjoying panoramic views of the landscapes.
  •   Stay in teahouses, tiny lodges and experience the hospitality at some of the remotest regions close to the mountains

A trek in the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley is an exhilarating journey through Nepal's remote and solitary regions.

Staying this close to the mountains has its own benefits, like having breakfast with sumptuous views of Mt. Manaslu.

As excitement builds up, you will realise that it's a day of relaxation and enjoyment in this mountain village, with only short hikes for the sake of acclimatisation.

Today is also your chance to catch your breath and let your body adjust to the thinner air at this altitude. As an option, you can trek to the beautiful Lake Birendra — a serene glacial lake nestled among the giant peaks.

And if you feel like it, you can take a second option — a longer challenge — where you reach Manaslu Base Camp. Whichever activity you choose to take, you will return to Sama after mid-day, rest, and bask in the natural beauty of the place.

Get up at leisure, have breakfast, and set off towards Larkya Bazaar — a barren land with just a suspension bridge and pure green river flowing underneath.

The word 'Bazaar', aka market, comes from the seasonal market this place hosts from time to time. If you happen to be here at the time of the markets, you will see Nepali and Tibetan vendors and barters going about their business.

Cross the bridge and head slowly and steadily past streams, ascending gradually along the way. After about four hours of a challenging trek, you will arrive at Dharmashala, a picturesque campsite and an acclimatisation stop.

Here, sights of the stunning Larkya Glacier will melt your heart. Settle in a cosy teahouse in order to rest for the challenging ascent to Larkya-La Pass tomorrow, at a whooping altitude of 5,106 metres.

Wake up well before dawn to embark on the challenging trek to Larkya-La Pass, the highest point on the Manaslu Circuit trail. As you trek higher and higher through the barren terrain, the breathtaking snowcapped peaks of Annapurna II and Himlung Himal will become visible.

The terrain is rocky, but views of glaciers and glacial lakes down below will bring some respite to the aching muscles. Keeping your determination at an all-time high, you should tread slowly Larkya Glacial Valley in order to avoid altitude sickness.

And when you reach the summit at 5,106 metres, you will be greeted by a stunning panorama of the Himalayas. Continue the slow and careful descent as the trail is steep and difficult, and much later you'll come to the highland pastures of Bimthang, your stop for tonight.

The most difficult part of the trek being over, you’ll spend the night in a cosy teahouse, reflecting on the day’s incredible journey.

Trek further through beautiful rhododendron forests and cultivated farmlands dotted with houses and hamlets. The undulating, rugged path will test your knees, no doubt.

Stops at traditional villages like Karche and Hampuk will allow for brief rests and hot drinks, and also lunch. Later in the day, you will arrive at Tilche, a charming village where you'll spend the night.

As your trek comes to an end, you will begin your drive on rugged trails outside of Tilche. First, you will arrive at Jagat.

Although the name is the same, 'Jagat', which you will be reaching today, is a completely different place from 'Jagat' that you set off from, towards the beginning of this trek.

As you arrive further down at Dharapani, you will have a break for some refreshments. Dharapani is a place where the Manaslu Circuit connects with the Annapurna Circuit.

Driving out of Dharapani, you will enjoy scenic views of local villages and farmlands. Ahead of a village called Tal, you will encounter several waterfalls, terraced farms, and dense forests on your way.

Further down the lane, you will have a brief refreshment at Besisahar before continuing the drive to Kathmandu. Once in the capital, you will check into the hotel and have rest and refreshments.

Later, as we gather for the dinner, we will share stories of our unforgettable trip of the past two weeks. The tiresome but soul-satisfying journey that you just undertook in Nepal will be etched in your memories.
