Trek Me Nepal was honored to participate in the Nepal India China Expo (NICE) 2025, held from February 24 to 26 at the Pokhara Event Centre. This prestigious tri-nation tourism expo brought together travel experts, industry leaders, and adventure enthusiasts from Nepal, India, and China, fostering new business opportunities and strengthening regional tourism collaborations.
Organized by the PATA Nepal Chapter in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board(NTB) , Ministry of Industry and Tourism of Gandaki Province, Pokhara Metropolitan City, and the Pokhara Tourism Council, NICE 2025 was a landmark event for Nepal’s tourism sector.
With the theme “NICE for MICE and More”, the expo highlighted Pokhara’s growing significance as not just an adventure and trekking hub, but also a prime destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).
PATA Nepal Chapter CEO, Suresh Singh Budal, emphasized the event’s significance in promoting Nepal’s tourism potential in two major source markets, India and China.
Key Highlights of NICE 2025:
- Over 1,000 participants, including tourism stakeholders, buyers, exhibitors, and government officials.
- 150 regional buyers, 100 exhibitors, 20 keynote speakers, and 25 media representatives from Nepal, India, and China.
- Chief Guest: Honorable Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Government of Nepal.

Dhan Raj Acharya, Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City.
Noor Ahmad Hamid, CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
Dipak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board.
“This initiative marks a significant milestone in positioning Nepal as a tourism hub between its two giant neighbours while strengthening regional cooperation. A united effort in tourism can boost economies, create new travel experiences, and bring people closer across borders,” said panellist Nandini Lahe Thapa.
Trek Me Nepal, represented by our General Manager, Mr. Laxu, actively participated in networking sessions, business meetings, and tourism discussions throughout the expo. While we did not set up a booth, Mr. Laxu engaged with global tourism stakeholders, fostering valuable connections and gaining insights into the future of adventure tourism in Nepal.

Keynote presentations and discussions emphasized the significance of MICE tourism, with PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid delivering an insightful address on Nepal’s potential as a regional event destination.
“The primary goal of the expo was to explore Nepal’s tourism potential in India and China and to promote opportunities for integrated hospitality businesses,” stated the PATA Nepal Chapter in a press release.
NICE 2025 successfully established Pokhara as a key tourism and business destination, fostering stronger ties between Nepal, India, and China.
Mayor Dhan Raj Acharya expressed his enthusiasm: “Hosting NICE 2025 in Pokhara is a moment of pride. It is the most significant event ever held in our city and will contribute immensely to boosting our tourism industry.”
Minister Badri Prasad Pandey also highlighted the importance of the event: “This expo will promote Nepal’s international image and strengthen its ability to attract travelers from India and China, two of the world’s largest outbound tourism markets.”
