The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with the Gokyo Landing is the ultimate time-saver for those who want to see the crown jewels of the Sagarmatha National Park in a single morning.

If you are short on time but long on ambition, this flight whisks you over the most dramatic landscapes on Earth, from the turquoise lakes of Gokyo to the jagged peaks of the Khumbu.

Your morning begins in the early light of Kathmandu, where you’ll be driven to the domestic terminal. The flight to Lukla serves as a thrilling introduction to the mountains. After a quick refuel, the air becomes thinner and the views more spectacular as we head toward the heart of the Khumbu.

To ensure safety at extreme altitudes, helicopters have weight limits. Above 4,500m, we can only carry three passengers at a time. If you are in a group of 4 or 5, we will split into two smaller groups at Pheriche. Each group will take turns flying over Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, and the Gokyo Valley before reuniting for the flight to breakfast.

Unlike standard tours, this Gokyo Lake Landing Package takes you over the Pristine Gokyo Lakes and the formidable Cho-La Pass. You’ll see the Earth’s greatest icefall and the shimmering emerald waters of the high lakes from a perspective very few humans ever see.

The tour concludes with a long, relaxing stop at Hotel Everest View. Here, you can sip coffee and enjoy breakfast while Mount Everest sits directly in your line of sight.

Finally, we’ll descend back through the Khumbu, offering a bird's-eye view of the classic Jiri trekking trail before returning to the bustle of Kathmandu by noon.

  •   Fly over the Khumbu Valley, Everest Base Camp, and the iconic Kala Patthar.
  •   Witness the shimmering Gokyo Lakes, the Valley, and the high-altitude Cho-La Pass.
  •   Gain 360-degree views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Ama Dablam.
  •   Enjoy a 60–90 minute stop at the Hotel Everest View (3,880m) for a meal facing the world’s tallest peak.
  •   Experience the Himalayas without the weeks of grueling trekking.

This journey is designed for those who want to experience the majesty of the Himalayas without the weeks of trekking. From the chaos of Kathmandu to the silent, thin air of the world’s highest peaks, here is how your morning will unfold:

Your private transfer arrives. We’ll navigate the quiet morning streets of Kathmandu for a quick 20-minute drive to the Domestic Terminal (TIA).

After check-in, you’ll board the helicopter for a scenic 1-hour flight. Watch the landscape transform from terraced green hills to the jagged, snow-dusted ridges of the Khumbu region.

We make a brief stop at the world-famous Tenzing-Hillary Airport (Lukla Airport) to refuel. This is your first taste of the high-altitude crispness at 2,804 meters.

As we climb toward the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar (5,500m), weight limits become critical for safety.

Note on High-Altitude Logistics: If your group exceeds three passengers, we will split into smaller shuttles at Pheriche. This ensures the helicopter remains light enough to maneuver safely near the peaks.

While one group explores the views, the other waits briefly at Pheriche before swapping places.

We’ll land the helicopter over the shimmering, turquoise waters of the Gokyo Lakes, a hidden gem of the region that most trekkers spend days trying to reach.

We touchdown at Hotel Everest View, one of the highest hotels in the world (3,880 m). You’ll have roughly 90 minutes to enjoy a luxury breakfast or early lunch on the terrace, with a direct, unobstructed view of Everest’s summit.

We begin the journey back, stopping once more in Lukla for fuel before the final leg to the capital.

After landing, our team will be waiting at the terminal to whisk you back to your hotel or any preferred location in the city. You'll be back in time for an afternoon nap or a relaxed lunch in Thamel.
