FAQS For Everest 3 High Passes (All in One) Trek-20 days

How hard is Everest High Pass Trek?

The Everest High Passes Trek, also referred to as the Three Passes Trek, Everest Base Camp via Three Passes Trek, or High Land of Everest Valley Trek, is considered one of the most challenging treks offered by Trek Me Nepal, suitable only for hardcore trekkers and adventure-seekers.

This trek entails a complete circuit of the high land of the Everest Valley, navigating through three difficult passes of Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La before reaching Everest Base Camp. The journey is a challenging and lengthy walk in a remote mountainous region with no easy access.

Only highly fit and experienced trekkers who are well-versed with the Himalayan terrain are advised to take on this trek. We strongly recommend that trekkers and hikers first attempt the Everest Base Camp Trek or Gokyo Lake Trek before embarking on this challenging trek. Nevertheless, if you have prior experience trekking in the Andes or Patagonia, or have successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, you are definitely qualified for this trek.

What is the best time to do the Everest High Passes Trek?

The optimal time to undertake the Everest High Passes Trek is during the pre-monsoon season, which spans from March to May, and the post-monsoon season, which runs from late September to December. Although it is feasible to do the trek in February and early September, it is highly recommended to plan your trip during the aforementioned months for the best experience.

Where am I sleeping at night?

Ensuring a comfortable night’s rest is essential to prepare for the next day’s hike after a long day on the trail. Therefore, we prioritize your comfort by selecting the best lodges available, equipped with two beds in each room and western-style toilet facilities, whenever possible. Generally, the beds are clean and cozy, with electric blankets provided if available, and attached bathrooms for most nights. The room temperature is usually maintained at 10-12°C / 50-54°F to ensure a comfortable sleeping environment.
